For dogs to compensate for poor digestion

Gastrointestinal disorders such as diarrhoea or varying stool consistency is common in dogs. Dogs with gastrointestinal disorders do not usually produce well-formed stool, and frequent vomiting is also evident. Prins ProCare Croque Veterinary Diet Gastro-Intestinal Low fat is a complete diet for dogs with gastrointestinal disorders. This dog food contains a lower fat and fibre content to support the digestion and to ensure an easily digestible food source. The diet is hypoallergenic, which means that it only contains salmon as an animal protein source to reduce the risk of hypersensitivity reactions, and it also contains additional ingredients for a balanced intestinal flora.

Good intestinal flora
Probiotics (enterococcus faecium) and dietary fibres such as yucca schidigera, mannan-oligosaccharide (MOS) and inulin (source of FOS) ensure a balanced intestinal flora
Lower fat and fibre content
A low fat and fibre content supports the digestion and ensures an easily digestible food source
Hypoallergenic
Selected animal protein sources such as (hydrolysed) salmon reduce the risk of hypersensitivity reactions

To properly transition your dog to the new diet food, we recommend the following: It would be preferable if you could get your dog used to the new diet in one go. If your dog needs more time to get used to the new diet, mix increasing amounts of the new food with the old food over a period of seven days until you have entirely switched to the new diet. Warning: Check your dog’s stool regularly, especially when your dog already has a sensitive gastrointestinal tract.

• Do not feed extras in addition to the new diet. Part of the daily diet can also be given as treats.

• Preferably divide the daily ration over several small meals (at least three a day). The amount of nutrients given to your dog will then be spread out over the day.

• Feed your dog separately to prevent any other pets from stealing your dog’s food.

• Keep your dog on a lead while out walking to prevent your dog from scavenging.

• It is important that your family and friends know that your dog is being fed a special diet to prevent them from giving your dog treats in between meals.

• Use puzzle feeders or a food ball to make meals last longer.
