ProCare Herring & Rice is a complete pressed food for adult dogs of medium and large breeds. The food only contains herring as an animal protein source and is therefore ideal for animals that are hypersensitive to other animal protein sources. The food supports the skin and digestive tract and is enriched with salmon oil, which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Dietary fibre promotes a healthy intestinal flora.

ProCare Herring & Rice Hypoallergenic is specially prepared for adult dogs with a sensitive skin, coat or digestion. Always ensure the availability of fresh drinking water at room temperature. The daily portion of ProCare Herring & Rice Hypoallergenic should be divided into at least two meals a day.
Serving tips!
Pressed kibble may produce powder when rubbed against each other. This dust contains the same nutrition as the kibble. Mix this dust with some warm water to prepare a delicious doggy treat!
Storage advice
Keep the kibbles in a dry and cool place and close the package after use. Tip: use a storage container for storing the food, and clean it well before opening a new package. Tip: Keep the details of this packaging to know exactly which food the dogs receives!

Switching from one pressed food to another

A. When you are switching from a different brand of pressed kibble to ours, you can mix the foods for a while until you have switched over. Mix an increasing amount of the new food into the old over a period of 7 days until you have switched completely. Occasionally switching to another food may result in slightly different feces. However, this is completely harmless. You could also opt for switching using frozen raw meat (see switching guideline section C).

B. When you are switching your pet from extruded (expanded) kibble to one of Prins's pressed varieties, we recommend an instant changeover instead of a period of mixing. Occasionally switching to another food may result in slightly different feces. However, this is completely harmless. You could also opt for switching using frozen raw meat (see switching guideline section C). Pressed kibble is a condensed food with less volume than the extruded type. The recommended portions are therefore smaller, making this food easier on the stomach.
C. Switching to a new type of kibble is also possible by using frozen raw meat. In this case, offer your dog a frozen raw meat meal such as Prins TotalCare LAMB & RICE Complete for one week. This will ensure an optimal recovery of the intestinal flora. After a week of feeding only raw meat you can switch to the new kibble instantly, without a mixing period.
If your dog has never tried raw meat before, we recommend slighty cooking the meat for the first two days in order to give the digestive system some time to adjust. After two days you can serve the thawed meat at room temperature.
