What to do with empty Prins kibble bags? The best option is to put them with your residual waste.

Our packaging consists of three different (plastic) layers, which are completely recyclable during waste processing. Due to a metallized inner layer the bags are not allowed in your plastics waste bin.

Airtight and oxygen-poor

The metallized inner layer is necessary in the proces of packaging the kibble airtight and oxygen-poor in a controlled atmosphere, to ensure a prolonged and optimal conservation of the kibble's taste and quality. Our laminated plastic packagings have an excellent barrier function and guarantee a perfect shelf life of nutrients. As an air-tight packaging is required to meet these standards, unfortunately we cannot use a so called 'click and close-system'.

Plastic barrier layer

Through optimal layering, our packaging is thinner and lighter than paper packaging. This helps minimise the use of raw materials and reduce waste flows. Prins teams up with packaging suppliers that have been awarded an ecolabel, because of certain changes they have made in order to use environmentally friendly production methods.

Did you know?

Even paper packagings contain a plastic barrier layer, which is necessary to prevent fat leakage. This is also the reason why paper packaging cannot be disposed with paper waste.
