Does your dog hate to swallow pills? With our Prins NatureCare sausage, swallowing pills and medicines becomes a party!

Do this first

Always read the leaflet of the medicine you are giving beforehand about the correct way to give it to your doy. Many pills may be given in combination with the dog's food to prevent stomach pain. You can’t find out if the medications you give can be mixed with his food? Always ask the vet for advice!

What do you need?

The necessary pills that you are going to give and a few pieces of our Prins NatureCare sausage. Always cut the sausage into small cubes before use to prevent the dog from choking.

  1. Hide the pill in a cube of sausage by pushing it in with your finger. Make sure that you have a few pieces left. Let the dog see that there are several blocks of sausage, so that he knows that several pieces will follow.
  2. First, give your dog one or more cubes of sausage without a pill.
  3. Then give the cube of sausage with the pill.
  4. Bite, swallow... gone! Delicious, such a disguised pill!
  5. After the cube of sausage with the pill, give one or more cubes of sausage without the pill. Keep a steady pace of giving, so that the dog always looks forward to the next cube and doesn’t have the opportunity to think whether he tasted something other than sausage.
  6. Repeat the steps above if you need to give multiple pills.
