From June 2025, your favorite grain-free frood will be improved! This makes ProCare Grainfree not only better, but also more sustainable. This way, we can minimise our impact on the environment. We would like to share what is new with the packaging, the kibble, and the food. This will help you make informed choices and makes sure that you know exactly what you are feeding. 

Advantages of the new packaging: 

  • Reusable bags 
    The new ProCare Grainfree packaging is made from a single type of plastic, known as monoplastic. This makes the bags easier to sort and process into new, high-quality plastic. This prevents waste and allows the plastic to be reused to create new products. 

  • Remains longer fresh and tasty  
    The 3kg bags feature a resealable strip, ensuring the kibble stays fresh and delicious after opening. All dry foods are packed in low-oxygen conditions to maintain freshness and taste. The food is still available in your familiar packaging sizes: 3kg and 12kg. 

New kibble shape 

  • Double stick shape 
    The grain-free variants now have the shape of a double stick. This makes them more durable, reduces crumbs and prevents them from breaking. This also makes the kibble more suitable for smaller dogs.  

Benefits of the new composition: 

  • More sustainable ingredients 
    For a more sustainable choice of ingredients, tapioca has been replaced by peas and potatoes. Pea and potatoes are locally sourced.  

  • Algae oil instead of salmon oil 
    The salmon oil in ProCare Grainfree diets has been replaced by algae oil. Algae oil is derived from easily cultivated microalgae. Fish consume these algae and store essential omega-3 fatty acids in their bodies. By using the algae directly, with its high omega-3 content, we are being much more animal-friendly. 

  • Improved vitamin and mineral mix 
    From now on, we will add the trace elements iron, zinc, manganese and copper in a form that can be absorbed even better by the body, so that your animal can make better use of them. They provide extra support to the skin and intestines and have an anti-oxidative effect. 

New name 

ProCare Grainfree Adult Pro Energy gets a new name 

ProCare Grainfree Junior & Adult will be the new name for ProCare Grainfree Adult Pro Energy. This name change makes it more visible that this food is also suitable for puppies. As a result, ProCare Grainfree Puppy & Junior will be discontinued.
